book reading w/ robi domingo && rj jimenez.

my dad && i parted ways while we were in the mall of asia because i was accompanied by my friends jewel && kris. we planned this yesterday because we knew that robi domingo would be in the national bookstore for the book reading and it was scheduled at 3 pm. but i was way excited so i asked my friends to go to the national bookstore 30 minutes before the scheduled time. and we were so shocked to see flashes of cameras and a few people in a form of circle. and that's it, robi was already there, flashing his wide, killer smile for his fans. we rushed to the center of the circle of people and immediately took pictureS - with an S - with him. he is so HANDSOME. as in spell H-A-N-D-S-O-M-E! i was so happy to see him! i was a big fan of him since the pbb teen plus edition days. my friend kris is an officer of an official clan for the fans of robi or what they called robilievers so she introduced herself to robi, and he shaked her hands and asked my name too and he shaked his hands to mine! we are one of the few people whom he entertained. we talked for a while before the start of the book reading. he asked where we live, our province, our school, and etc. he is so nice! he also asked us to stay for the book reading && we said sure, of course! then we were also thrilled to see rj jimenez with him. and then, the book reading had started. the book reading was all about the book, PARA KAY B by ricky lee who also wrote some famous movies and teleseryes, like himala, lobo, dubai and so many more. this is his first novel, but he had published so many books. PARA KAY B, is a novel all about love. first, rj jimenez read some lines from the book and then followed by robi. rj also sang if we fall in love and miss kita pag tuesday with his awesome guitar. if someone bought the book, that someone would have the chance to have an autograph of ricky lee, rj jimenez and robi domingo with their short dedications and to have pictures taken with them. so i bought a copy and i had their autographs and my pictures with them. after that, we saw this familar boy who was all alone and who was at the back doing some random things. and for what we know, he is maro domingo - lil' brother of robi - and we shouted "maro" to confirm if it was him and he looked at us so it's definitely him. we asked him and he said yes and then we also took pictures with him. after that, he called robi from the back and robi headed off towards us and we asked him if he could take a video of him saying hi to me and to my friends and he said sure - he is so NICE! - and yes, we did it! and again we talked for a while and then somebody said it's time for him to go back so it ended there. today was so much fun! i would never forget this day for my entire life! ;)

    with maro domingo.

    with ricky lee.

    entrance test in CEU.

hiyyaa! again, i took an entrance exam, and this time, it was in CEU. for the first few months of my senior year, i thought it would be great to be a dentist someday, and i actually decided to take dentistry as my course. but then again, my mind is continuously changing so it did change. and now, i think for it again and again, and i said to myself, why not try to take an entrance test in CEU - because what i knew is, CEU is one of the best schools for the college of dentistry - so i would have an option.

i was accompanied by my dad and lil' bro. while waiting, my friend prenz - he graduated last year at the same school as mine - saw me and we talked for a while then he toured me to the whole campus. it was great to have someone i know in that university. after that, i took the entrance test for 1 and half hour - ONLY! it was the easiest entrance test that i had took so far. and after the test, we headed off the the mall of asia...

    swimming w/ my best buddies.

here in cavite, we didn't have our classes today because of the Julian Felipe day but we, the officers at my school, woke up so early for the parade. all officers in each school had to attend the parade. it was a loooong parade. good thing the sun was shy this morning so it didn't burn our skins. after the very tiring parade, we headed off to the grocery to buy some snacks for our swimming. yesterday, my clique planned to have an outing for the advance celebration of our one year anniversary, and since we don't have classes this day, we decided to celebrate it today (the real date is january 29). we planned to have our celebration in the mt. sea resort. each of us brought the foods that were assigned to us. the food that was assigned to me and to my friend katrina was lechong manok. my dad gave us a ride to the resort. by the time we got there, - 12 noon - some of my friends were already soaked in the pool. we immediately went to the shower room and dived to the tempting pool. it was soooo FUN! and after some minutes, we ate our lunch. and btw, we were alone in the whole resort! it was like we reserved it for ourselves but definitely it's not. it was so cool. we also played volleyball and did some swimming tricks - even though some of you might not consider those ones as tricks - but all i can say is it was gory awesome to be with my best buddies in the world. and of course, we captured some moments of us together with the help of the most precious thing for us in the universe, the camera! we took pictures over here and over there and even up there and down here! the sun barely showed up so we really enjoyed the pool without worrying that our skins might burn in the scorching heat of the sun. we also had some laughter moments about crazy stuffs which is silly but funfunfun! in general, to sum up all the things we did for this day, we had a great time together, and i guess this day will be in our hearts and minds for the rest of our lives.

PS: to my best friends in the milky way galaxy, - PAXTRO - i love you all guys! every seconds with you is amazing and you know that. i hope we would be together for eternity. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY guys! ;)

    tita leony's birthday celebration.

yesterday was my tita's birthday and we celebrated it today. we always do this in our family, if someone's birthday falls on a weekday, then we should celebrate it the weekend ahead. no one should skip a week without celebrating his/her birthday! my aunt knows how to cook and she's good at it so i broke my dietary plan for this day. she has prepared so many foods && i can't help myself but to grab whatever's on the table. i ate alllllll day long! i bet it's not my fault because her homemade foods were the best! again, my grandparents' house was bloated. my relatives from my father's side came to celebrate with us. we had our bonding with my cousins as usual. our trip for this time was a movie marathon. we watched two movies, which were the memoirs of a geisha && mamma mia!

1.) the memoirs of a geisha is a very touching and is a good movie. actually, i am quite interested in some japanese traditions and this thing caught my attention. i like the way the characters played their parts. especially the protagonist. she is beautiful indeed. i like the idea of the protagonist having a pair of blue, charming eyes, which is very uncommon for asians. full asians would never have a pair of blue eyes, as far as i know - just tell me if you know someone who's like that. and btw, this is a film adaptation. so sad, i hadn't read the novel before watching this one. and until now, i hadn't even touched the book.

    the plot:
    *SPOILER*
    *SPOILER*
    *SPOILER*

The film tells the story of Chiyo Sakamoto (portrayed by Suzuka Ohgo as a child, and by Zhang Ziyi as an adult), who is sold into a life of servitude by her parents when she is nine years old. Chiyo is taken in by the proprietress of a geisha house, Mother (Kaori Momoi), where she works to pay off the debt of her purchase and the soiling of a silk kimono owned by a well-known geisha, Mameha (Michelle Yeoh), which Chiyo was blackmailed into defacing by the haughty and jealous geisha, Hatsumomo (Gong Li).

One day while crying in the street, the young Chiyo is noticed by the Chairman, Ken Iwamura (Ken Watanabe), who buys her an iced sorbet and gives her his handkerchief. Inspired by his act of kindness, Chiyo resolves to become a geisha so that she may one day become a part of The Chairman’s life. Chiyo, now a young woman, is taken under the wing of Mameha, head of a rival geisha house. Under Mameha's tutelage, the girl Chiyo becomes Sayuri, the most famous geisha in all Gion, Kyoto. Hatsumomo becomes Sayuri's rival and seeks to destroy her; however, Hatsumomo ends up destroying herself instead after setting fire to the okiya.

Sayuri, through her work as a geisha, is reunited with the Chairman, who she has secretly loved since she was a girl, although she is led to believe he has no memory of who she was before she became a geisha. Her prosperous life is cut short by the outbreak of World War II and while the safety of Sayuri and Mameha is ensured by the Chairman, they must endure a life of hard labor. After the war, Sayuri is reunited with Mameha, and they become geishas once more.

The Chairman arranges to meet Sayuri, where he finally reveals to her that he knows she is Chiyo. He tells her that he was responsible for sending Mameha to her so that she may fulfill her dreams of becoming a geisha. Sayuri finally reveals her love to the Chairman, which she has been harboring for more than fifteen years. The film ends with their loving embrace and a stroll through a beautiful Japanese garden.

2.) mamma mia! is a hilarious movie. i swear it's worth watching. i knew this movie for a while now and i already seen it in www.watch-movies.net but i don't want it to watch it there because it buffers for life! so sloooooow. then i was thrilled when my tita leony said she has the dvd and she let us watch it. i was excited to see the mean in the movie "mean girls" portray the protagonist's part and i was excited to watch her singing. and wow! i never knew she has an amazing voice! and she's good in dancing and acting too. plus, she is gorgeous. i really, totally love the movie! and i am hoping for a sequel. i'm rating this movie A+.

    trivia:
On December 15, 2008, it was announced that Mamma Mia! had become the highest-grossing film in the United Kingdom of all time. The previous record was held by Titanic, which was released in the UK in 1998.

    nick and norah's infinite playlist.

the book is so hip and cool! well as you can see, music is connected in my pulse so i should really love this book. and gory yes, i totally love it! honestly, it came to the point wherein i couldn't set my eyes off of the book. i can now say that it really is hypnotizing. the novel is all about a boy who got dumped by his girlfriend and he saw her on one of his gig with a new boyfriend and he found this girl in random and eventually asked her if she could be his five minute girlfriend and so on and so on... - really, all of us should hate spoilers! spoilers are rude. i don't intend this post to be a novel too so i'm gonna end it here. if you want to kill some time, just read the book and you'll gonna be satisfied. btw, i finished it for one and a half day due to my unforgivable classes.

ps: i knew this book since summer of 08 and i was an idiot for not reading this one on an earlier period of time. && i'm not innocent of it's movie that was just in theaters last october '08 at the US. i also found out last year that it would be in theaters here in the PH this coming january 29, 2009 - i read it from imdb - and now it's info is nowhere to be found. OMG, let's put all our hopes here guys.

    th1rteen r3asons why.

I hope you're ready, because you're about to listen to the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you're listening to these tapes, you're one of the reasons why.

i started reading this novel yesterday yet i already knew this book for a while now. i really got interested on this one so i finally decided to read it. it really IS a breathtaking novel. you'll gonna end up biting your nails while reading this && i bet you'll never gonna stop reading once you've started it. just like exactly what happened to me. i got a new set of eyebags by the time i woke up. i stayed up all night in my attempt to finish it but then i failed. && when i woke up this morning, i continued my unfinished business. now, i'm officially done!

Th1rteen R3asons Why begins with Clay Jensen finding a shoebox full with audio tapes on his porch. The tapes were recorded by Hannah Baker, Clay's classmate and crush, who committed suicide two weeks earlier. But before taking her life, Hannah recorded thirteen sides of audio tapes--one for each people she blames for her suicide. Now the tapes have to be passed along from person to person, otherwise they will be revealed in a very public manner.

Clay begins to listen, at first with puzzlement, then with anguish and desperation, to the voice of the girl he was in love with, and to whom she never confessed his true feelings. He listens to a series of mean acts committed by Hannah's schoolmates, which brought her to suicide. However, Hannah isn't without blame herself. She could have stopped a rape and a car accident, but did neither.

this book is not something that you could forget anytime. it has moral lessons for those people who don't know how their little doings affect other people. but at the same time, you'll surely enjoy reading this one.

    new year.

hi everyone! this is my very first post this 2009. happy new year guys! how was your new year's eve? i spent mine here in my same ol' town, cavite city. our new year's eve was a bash! our house became a madhouse even though we're just seven living organisms in the crib at the moment. the table was full. how do i describe full? well, it was all like we can barely put our plates on it. that FULL. and as the result, my stomach was full too. we grilled bbqs and hotdogs - like we always do - and we had fruit salad, ham, wine && so much moreeeeee! MORE. and by the time the clock striked 12, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and there were fireworks all over our place. we watched it on our terrace at the second story of our house. kabooom over here and kabooom over there. the town was creating a lot of noooooise! and of course, we also joined in the commotion happening around us. we set four fountains and my dad kept on using different firecrackers like 5 star, etc. i also received tons of greetings from my friends through texts. plus, i jumped up && down && up && down at exactly 12 midnight, hoping to get taller even a little bit. we welcomed the year 2009 with full of happiness and that event was unforgetable. happy 2009 everyone! hope you all the very best this 2009. good luck! ;)
